John Stalker
STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The man accused of stealing women’s underwear from a Stevens Point home was not sentenced today as scheduled.
The attorney for John Stalker asked for the delay, saying he couldn’t properly review the cases against his client. The 42-year-old is accused of breaking into the woman’s home and emptying her underwear drawer, leaving everything else in the home behind, including electronics and other valuables.
The victim noted that none of her roommate’s items were disturbed.
Investigators used security camera footage from nearby homes to piece together the timeline of events, leading them to investigate Stalker. When they caught up to him, they found the victim’s underwear and some that belonged to other victims.
He had been facing charges for burglary and stalking, covering four open cases. Court records show that both sides reviewed the proposed deal during today’s hearing. Another plea hearing was then scheduled for October 16th.
