Wisconsin Badgers
GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Badgers stood toe to toe against 4th ranked Notre Dame in the 1st half in a 41-13 loss. The Badgers trailed 13-10 at halftime.
Notre Dame scored on the opening drive of the second half, and then added a pick-6 to secure the win.
Irish quarterback CJ Carr threw 2 touchdown passes. Running back Aneyas Williams added two touchdowns and ran for 90 yards.
The Badgers appeared to have improved after adding 35 transfers after two losing seasons.
“I don’t have a great explanation for the second half,” coach Luke Fickell said. “I give them a lot of credit. We kind of held the energy and created a lot of momentum in the first half. In the second half, we could do none.”
The Badgers play their home opener next Saturday against Western Illinois.
