Wausau Ignite
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Ignite will close out the regular season this evening in a league championship series preview.
Wausau (21-18) will host Madison (34-6) at Athletic Park. Both teams have already clinched a spot in the best-of-three championship series, with Madison holding home-field advantage as regular-season champions.
Zoey Mills is scheduled to pitch for the Ignite. She has been one of the most dependable pitchers for the Ignite, boasting a 10-2 record with an ERA of 4.36. She’s thrown eight complete games and recorded one save.
Wausau will then take the weekend off before hosting Madison in game one on Monday. The Night Mares will close out their regular season against La Crosse on Saturday before returning to Wausau.
Game two and, if necessary, game three will be played in Madison next Wednesday and Thursday.
Northwoods League softball is wrapping up its third year. The league started with four teams in 2024 and has since grown to six teams.
