Shawn Lamoore
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Menasha man accused of trying to meet an underage girl for sex is now facing two counts of possession of child pornography, according to online court records.
Shawn Lamoore is now the subject of two open cases after prosecutors filed the new felony counts in May. He has yet to enter a plea to the charges.
The 49-year-old was already facing charges for child enticement and using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime after he arranged to meet a Wausau Police Officer who was posing as a 15-year-old girl. Lammore allegedly went through with the plans to meet despite being told numerous times that the officer was posing as a minor.
He was arrested at the arranged meet-up in Wausau on December 8th, 2025, and was charged later that week. Since then, he’s pled not guilty to those charges and has been held on a cash bond.
The cases have been cross-referenced, and Lamoore is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon. The most serious charges against him carry a combined maximum sentence of up to 75 years in the state prison system.
