STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Two people accused of killing a 57-year-old Portage County woman are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Lyndon Hood and Sara Pientka were held over the weekend on a combined $1.5 million in cash bonds. Charges against them are still pending, though investigators say they had a hand in stabbing Jeanette Pientka, who was found dead in a home in the Town of Carson.
Hood, 60, was held on a $1 million bond. Sara Pientka, 46, had her bond set at $500,000.
The incident started with a report of a woman suffering “severe, traumatic injuries.” When officers arrived at the home on County Road M, they found Sara Pientka dead.
Sara is Jeanette’s sister. Criminal complaints have not yet been filed in the case.
