CHICAGO, IL (WSAU) The Brewers climbed into 1st place in the NL Central with a 5-2 win over the Cubs on Tuesday night.
Jacob Misiorowski (4-2) struck out eight and pitched six scoreless innings. He hasn’t been scored on over the last 24 1/3 innings he’s worked.
Brice Turang was 3 for 4 with a two-run home rum. Jake Bauers had two hits and an RBI. Garrett Mitchell also drove in a run.
The Cubs scored 2 runs in the 8th and left the bases loaded. Abner Uribe worked a three-up three-down 9th for the save.
The Brewers have won 10 of their last 11-games.
Abner Uribe followed with a 1-2-3 ninth for his fifth save.
The Brewers play for a sweep in Chicago on Wednesday Night. Kyle Harrison (4-1, 2.09 ERA) is scheduled to pitch at 6:05pm o WSAU.
