MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WSAU) – The Brewers, trailing 5-3 in the 9th, got an RBI single from Jake Bauers to get within 1-run. But Sal Ferlick popped out to the catcher to end the game with the tying run on 3rd base.
The Twins’ 5-4 win avoided a sweep.
Garrett Mitchell and Christian Yelich had home runs for the Brewers, who’d won the first two games of the series by one run.
The Brewers are scheduled to play the 1st place Cubs on Monday night, but there is rain in the forecast in Chicago. Game coverage begins at 6:05pm on WSAU.
