MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Gavin Sheets hit a 3-run home run with two outs in the 9th, as the Padres rallied to beat the Brewers 3-2.
Milwaukee squandered a strong start from Jacob Misiorowski, who pictched 7 scoreless innings while striking out 10. 40 of his pitches were clocked at over 100mph. At one point he retired 14 straight batters, lowering his ERA to 2.12.
Sheet’s late home run came off reliever Abner Uriebe, who took the loss. Milwaukee’s 5-game winning streak came to an end.
The Brewers and Padres wrap up their series at 12:35pm Thursday afternoon on WSAU. Kyle Harrison will pitch for the Brewers.
