WESTON, WI (WSAU) — Students from three local school districts are teaming up to host a fundraising run/walk with proceeds going towards tornado relief efforts.
The Raise Your Voice Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, May 3rd, at Stiehm Stadium in Weston. Gates will open at 9:00 AM with the race starting at 10:00 AM.
All proceeds will benefit the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin’s relief fund. Registration is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Students from the Raise Your Voice clubs at the D.C. Everest, Marathon City, and Wausau Schools are collaborating on the event. Raise Your Voice members are trained in peer-to-peer suicide prevention, encourage open dialogue about mental health, and work diligently to promote acceptance for students who are living with — or know someone who is living with — a mental health condition.
