MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men from Eagle River in a “directed patrol effort targeting the trafficking of illegal drugs.”
According to a news release, officers stopped a vehicle for speeding on Thursday, April 23rd. After identifying the driver and passenger, Eric Walloch and Patrick Grady, officers requested assistance from a K9 officer.
K9 Nina then alerted officers to possible drugs in the vehicle. A search turned up an undisclosed amount of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia.
Both men were taken to the Lincoln County Jail and are now facing charges for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Court records show Grady made an initial appearance on Monday and is being held on a $500 cash bond with several conditions, including no contact with Walloch. He will have a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
Court action against Walloch is pending.
