MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Brewers got a lucky break in a 3-2 win over the Padres in Game 1 of the Divisional Play-offs.
Ty France hit what was likely a go-ahead home run in the 9th inning. It hit a cable attached to the roof of American Family Field and was caught by Jackson Churio for an out. Ground rules say a ball that hits any part of the roof is in-play.
William Contraras hit a go-ahead home run in the 7th.
The Padres couldn’t hold an early 2-0 lead. Churio hit a 2-run home run to tie the game in the 4th.
Jacob Misiorowski worked the first four innings and was taken out as his pitch count hit 88.
The series continues on Sunday with Michael King pitching against Logan Henderson (11-3, 2.47). Game coverage will begin at 3pm on WSAU.
