WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The City of Wausau has officially posted the HR Director position after Lisa Nowak resigned earlier this summer.
Mayor Doug Diny says the posting will stay up through mid-September. After closing, a committee will review all qualified applicants.
“We have a selection board that will conduct interviews, and we hope that by the end of the summer we will have a new HR Director,” said Diny.
He adds that the vetting process can take up to six weeks.
According to the posting on the city’s job board, the position will pay up to $149,700 annually. Applications will be accepted through September 13th.
Nowak resigned after a little more than a year on the job, but she’s not completely done with the city. During Tuesday’s Council meeting, alders approved her appointment to the Police and Fire Commission. She replaces Cheryl Bahr and will serve a two-year term, ending in April 2028.
