MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers have announced that one of their top young pitchers will be returning to the rotation this week to face the division rival Cardinals.
According to Brewers insider Adam McCalvy, Logan Henderson, who has been on the injured list with a back strain since late May, will return to the mound on Thursday to face St. Louis for the series finale.
The Brewers will look to Henderson, 24, who has a 2-1 record this season with an ERA of 2.74 and 30 strikeouts, to help steady the back half of their rotation moving forward, as it is uncertain when or if Brandon Woodruff will return to the rotation before the playoffs begin this fall.
