MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks and their 2025 second-round pick have agreed to a multi-year rookie contract after playing last season in Europe.
According to a post on X from the team, Bogoljub Markovic, 20, signed his second-round pick exception on Wednesday and is expected to spend time between the Bucks and the G League’s Wisconsin Herd during the 2026-2027 season.
Markovic—the 47th overall pick in the 2025 draft—stayed abroad with Mega Basket. After an outstanding season in which he averaged 18.2 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, he was named MVP of the Adriatic Basketball Association.
Markovic will join rookie Brayden Burries and Malique Lewis, as well as some current Bucks like Pete Nance and Cormac Ryan, who are battling to maintain their spots on the NBA team, according to the Bucks’ official announcement of their 2026 Summer League lineup on Thursday morning. Although Nate Ament is not anticipated to play in the California Classic, he is expected to play when the Bucks head to Vegas later this month.
