Timothy Anker
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The man suspected of killing his brother will be in a Marathon County courtroom today for his initial appearance.
Timothy Anker is accused of stabbing Thomas Anker during an argument in April at a home in the Town of Norrie. When first responders arrived, they attempted life-saving measures on the 57-year-old victim, but he died at the scene.
Timothy was immediately taken into custody. Investigators called the incident an act of domestic violence. He made a court appearance in April for one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and was jailed on a $300,000 bond.
Thursday’s appearance is expected to cover the count of intentional homicide. He’s due for a preliminary hearing on the weapons charge on June 1st.
No further information about the incident has been released, including a potential motive. He faces a mandatory life sentence if found guilty on the homicide charge, and up to ten years on the weapons charge.
