MADISON, WI (WSAU-Woodchucks) – The Wausau Woodchucks lost to the Madison Mallards, 8-3.
Madison controlled the game from the start with a 4-run first inning, including a 3-run home run. Madison added single runs in the 4th and 5th innings to increase their lead.
The Woodchucks are now 1-1 for the season. Their home opener is Thursday against Green Bay.
Elsewhere in the Northwoods League, Green Bay beat Wisconsin Rapids 15-2.
