MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – A new poll of NBA players is weighing in on where Giannis Antetokounmpo will play to start the 2026-2027 season.
According to the poll, which was conducted by The Athletic, 45.7% of respondents stated that they believe Giannis will still be with the Bucks this fall, and 23.2% said he will be traded to the Miami Heat, which has been a long-rumored preferred destination for the former MVP.
Other responses included 16.6% saying Giannis will be traded to the New York Knicks and 3.3% saying he will join the Los Angeles Lakers. Teams like the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves received 2% of the vote.
A total of 151 players from across the league participated in the poll, and they also voted on what teams they would rather not get traded to, with the Memphis Grizzlies coming as the top response at 35.8% and the Washington Wizards coming in at second with 11.7%. Other teams at the top of the list included the Sacramento Kings at 10.8%, the New Orleans Pelicans at 6.7%, and the Brooklyn Nets and Utah Jazz tied at 5%.
