Wisconsin Badgers
WORCESTER, MA (WSAU) — The Badgers hockey team is bound for the Frozen Four with a 4-3 overtime win over Michigan State.
Senior Ben Dexheimer scored the game-winning goal 24 seconds into overtime. The Badgers rallied with back-to-back goals 34 seconds apart from Luke Osburn and Gavin Morrissey to tie the game 3-3.
The two teams split their four regular-season Big Ten games.
The Frozen Four is April 9th and 11th in Las Vegas. The Badgers, 23-12-2 this season, will face North Dakota in the first semifinal at 4:00 PM. The Fighting Hawks defeated Quinnipiac 5-0 to win the Sioux Falls, SD Region.
Michigan and Denver will play in the nightcap.
