TOWN OF KING, WI (WSAU) — A hunting mishap in the Lincoln County Town of King brings a reminder to hunters: be aware of your surroundings before you pull the trigger.
Officers were called to a home on County Highway H on Saturday for a report of a busted window. The homeowner said he believed the window was shot out.
Investigators tracked down a pair of duck hunters near the scene, including a 20-year-old from Wisconsin Rapids, who said they likely caused the damage.
The 20-year-old spoke with the homeowner, and the two agreed to work out a fair resolution to the damages.
No further information will be released. Officers said the situation serves as a reminder to be aware of your surroundings before shooting.
