FOND du LAC, WI (WSAU) — The woman accused of killing Cindy Schulz-Juedes in her prison cell reached a plea deal with the state, avoiding trial.
Taylor Sanchez entered a no contest plea on Monday for one count of intentional homicide. She was found guilty by the judge, avoiding a jury trial that was scheduled for late July.
Sanchez had pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect for killing the 69-year-old in their shared cell. Sanchez reportedly said she was “hearing voices again” that were telling her to kill Schulz-Juedes because she had been using Sanchez’s toothbrush to scrub the toilet.
Schulz Juedes has just begun a life sentence after she was found guilty of killing her former husband, Ken Juedes, at trial. Though court records show she was preparing an appeal.
Sanchez returns to court for sentencing on July 28th.
