RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU) — Could Jersey Mike’s be expanding to the Wausau area?
The website for the popular sandwich chain lists a Wausau location as “scheduled to open soon,” though it’s unclear where exactly the restaurant will be located. The address for the location is listed as “22534 Mountain Drive,” which doesn’t fit with the Marathon County uniform addressing system that was implemented for the Town of Rib Mountain several years ago.
The listed address contains five digits. All Rib Mountain street addresses have six digits.
A Google search for that address brings up two different locations; one in a rural area near the Wausau 525 track and another near Texas Roadhouse on Rib Mountain Drive, which is the most likely the correct location.
Officials with the Town of Rib Mountain say they haven’t been contacted by a developer regarding a Jersey Mike’s location though they would welcome any new eatery or retail business to Rib Mountain Drive.
The company already has 34 locations operating in the Badger State along with new locations coming to the Eau Claire, Fitchburg, and Slinger areas.
