CINCINNATI, OH (WSAU)– The Brewers earned another win over the Cincinnati Reds in a wild game. With the help of Blake Perkin’s career-first grand slam and homer, the Brewers drove in 5 runs and were able to pull off the win 10-8.
Colin Rea pitched 5 innings of 3-run ball for the Brewers, and Devin Williams closed out the game. The Brewers first baseman Jon Singleton went 1 for 4 and scored his first run in an MLB game since 2015 when he resided with Houston. Singleton along with Perkins were both promoted from Triple-A on Saturday as first baseman Darin Ruff and outfielder Tyrone Tayler were placed on a 10-day injured list.
Perkins hit an RBI in the 2nd inning, then topped off Milwaukee’s 5-run 3rd that led the Brewers to lead 9-1.
Milwaukee is now 31-27 on the season. Game 3 of the series between the NL Central Rivals is this afternoon, with pregame coverage beginning at 12:05 on WSAU
