The Green Bay Packers have begun their off-season workout and conditioning program. Players arrived at Lambeau Field for the first phase of the off-season program which will consist of conditioning and weight training for the opening couple of weeks. Phase two will involve some on field instruction before the Organized Team Activities begin on May 22. This part of the off-season work is voluntary under the collective bargaining agreement. Jordan Love did check in on time Monday however as he begins preparing for his first season as the starting quarterback as the Packers continue working out a trade with the New York Jets for Aaron Rodgers. There have been no new developments with the Jets but a report surfaced Monday that the Tennessee Titans have inquired about Rodgers if a deal with New York can not be worked out. The Titans appear willing to move on from Ryan Tannehill and would consider the 18 year veteran if a quarterback didn’t become available in next week’s draft. Rodgers’ reign as the highest paid player in NFL history is also coming to an end after the Philadelphia Eagles gave Jalen Hurts a new five year contract worth a reported 255 million dollars with 179 million of that guaranteed. At 51 million dollars per season on average, the contract eclipses the three year deal Rodgers signed with the Packers prior to the 2022 season which earned him 50 million per year on average.
