(LEARFIELD) – The ground game has been a big part of the Packers offense historically – until 2026.
The hope is that the return of Josh Jacobs will restore that.
Offensive line problems may have been a bigger factor than lack of talent running the ball.
Tonight’s opponents, the Carolina Panthers, may bring part of the solution.
That defense has given up more than five yards per carry this season.
Just last week it surrendered 258 rushing yards to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd talked about the Carolina run defense.
Lloyd also talked about the Packers’ red zone efficiency.
He said that the offensive line and the running backs have to be on the same page.
Packers safety Javon Bullard discussed the Panthers offense led by quarterback Bryce Young.
Bullard said that they can’t get caught up into blaming officials for everything.
Panthers coach Dave Canales said that he’s excited for this great opportunity.
Young said that preparing on a short week is tough.
And he added that the Packers have a physical defense.
Tonight’s game kicks off at 7:15.
