ANTIGO, WI (WSAU) — An Antigo man accused of burglary and sexual assault has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Prosecutors say 27-year-old William Dixon approached the victim at a local bar in early September. According to the woman, Dixon followed her to her vehicle as she left and tried to kiss her after she repeatedly rejected him.
Dixon allegedly broke into the victim’s home later that night while she was sleeping. The victim awoke and attempted to fight him off, but Dixon continued the assault. Cell phone records indicate Dixon attempted to call the victim multiple times after 2:30 AM.
Dixon’s bond was reduced from $100,000 to $30,000. If he posts bail, his release conditions require GPS monitoring at his own expense, the surrender of his passport, and a mandate to remain in Wisconsin. He is also barred from contacting the victim or approaching her residence.
Dixon faces additional charges in Kenosha County for domestic abuse and false imprisonment, with a status conference scheduled for Dec. 22. Further proceedings in Langlade County are set for Jan. 11.
If convicted of sexual assault, burglary, and bail jumping, he faces up to 35 years in prison.
