Sentry School of Business and Economics
STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The State Building Commission has approved a $98 million modernization project for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Sentry School of Business and Economics.
The project will transform the Collins Classroom Center into Sentry Hall, a state-of-the-art facility. Construction will begin in the summer 2026.
Sentry Insurance contributed $10 million to the project in 2022.
The project will expand the building by 20,000 square feet, creating active learning classrooms and collaboration spaces. It will also relocate the Anderson Classroom to Career Center, connecting students to over 30 corporate partners.
Kevin Neuman, head of the Sentry School, highlighted the impact of the project, saying it will expand applied learning opportunities and support the mission to develop career-ready graduates. The Sentry School has seen a 51% enrollment increase over the past five years. Since 2023, more than 92% of its graduates have found employment within Wisconsin.
Sentry Hall will also house a new Entrepreneurship Center, aiding students in business development. The facility will feature centers for data analytics, sales excellence, business insight, and women’s leadership, along with distance technology facilities.
