LOS ANGELES, CA (WSAU) — The Toronto Blue Jays shut down the high-powered LA offense in a 6-1 win in Game 5 of the World Series Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium. It puts the Blue Jays one win away from the title.
Rookie Trey Yesavage gave us just one run in seven innings. He allowed just three hits with 12 Ks and no walks. Dodger stars Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman combined to go 0-11.
Davis Schneider and Vlad Guerrero hit back-to-back homers to lead off the game for Toronto.
The Blue Jays now lead the Series 3-2 and can close it out in Game Six on Friday night in Toronto
