KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU) — The Village of Kronenwetter is now seeking applicants for a vacant trustee position after elevating current member Dan Joling to Village President.
Board members voted 5-0 to approve the move on Monday, according to a news release from the Village. Joling abstained from the vote.
The move comes after former President David Baker resigned his seat last week. Baker won the seat during the April election, defeating Aaron Myszka by 18 votes. Incumbent Chris Voll failed to make the general election, finishing 3rd in the February primary.
Joling served as Kronenwetter’s first police chief from 2004 to 2016. He was elected as a trustee during the 2025 Spring Election. He will serve out the remainder of Baker’s term, which is until April 2027.

Those interested in applying for the vacant trustee position should return their applications to Village Hall by November 7th. A copy of the application can be found here.
The board will interview all qualified applicants and vote one into the seat. That person will serve the remainder of Joling’s term, which also expires in April 2027.
