CHICAGO, Ill (WSAU) — The Chicago Cubs stayed alive in the NLDS with a 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday at Wrigley Field.
The Brewers scored first on a Sal Frelick sac-fly in the first inning but it didn’t last long. Brewers starter Quinn Priester didn’t make it out of the first inning as the Cubs scored four runs including a lead-off homer from Michael Busch.
Jake Bauers had a RBI single in the 4th and also added a solo homer in the 7th but that was as close as Milwaukee would get. The Brewers had a chance to add with runners on first and third with one out but Caleb Durbin was caught between third and home on a squeeze bunt attempt.
The Brewers still lead the series 2-1 and will try and close it out tonight. You can hear the game game on WSAU…pre-game show at 7:30 pm
