WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Crossroads County Market in Wausau has been acquired by Midwest grocery giant Hy-Vee.
According to a press release from Hy-Vee, County Market will close at 6 PM on Tuesday, November 11th, for remodeling. The store will reopen as a full-fledged Hy-Vee at 6 AM on Tuesday, November 18th.
The sale also includes the nearby Circle K convenience store, which will also close and rebrand as Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience.
“We’re excited to have this opportunity to be part of the Wausau community,” said Kory Robinson, Regional Vice President for Hy-Vee’s Madison region. “We look forward to bringing Hy-Vee’s quality, convenience, and culinary expertise to customers next month, and to being part of the local community.”
All County Market employees will be offered positions at the new store.
Hy-Vee has locations in multiple states, including stores in Green Bay, Eau Claire, and the Madison area.
