KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU) — A 54-year-old man was arrested after several people reported a disturbance along County Road X in Kronenwetter.
Officers said they were fielding reports of a man dancing and doing yoga in the road. Some also reported that he was dressed in women’s clothing.
He was later identified as Marcus Kaufman, who fled the scene before officers could question him. The Police Department issued a be on the lookout for him, noting that while he didn’t appear to have any weapons, he was exhibiting odd behavior and the public should be cautious.
He turned himself in to the police on Thursday evening. Marathon County jail records show he was brought in on a probation hold and is awaiting an initial appearance for possession of THC and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Officers from Kronenwetter, Wausau, and Mountain Bay Metro PD were involved in the search. The Wisconsin State Patrol and a drone team were also called to assist.
