WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum will celebrate the opening of the 50th Birds in Art exhibition this weekend. What began in 1976 has evolved into an annual exhibition of original paintings, sculptures, and graphics that celebrate birds.
Works from more than 100 artists, chosen by a panel of jurors, will be on display. More than 700 artists submitted pieces for consideration.
The Birds in Art Fifty opening day celebration will allow guests to meet the artists, watch some of the featured artists in action, along with a special opportunity to work alongside professional artists to learn new techniques.
Birds in Art Fifty will remain on view at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum through January 4, 2026. You can find more information about the museum and the exhibition at this link.
