MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Pittsburgh Pirates ended the Milwaukee Brewers four game winning streak with a 5-4 win on Monday night at American Family Field.
Christian Yelich hit a two-run homer to tie the game in the fifth but the Pirates scored a run in the 6th and made it stand up. Brice Turang and Caleb Durbin had the other Brewer RBIs.
Nick Mears took the loss in relief. Chad Patrick started and went five innings allowing four runs with nine strikeouts and one walk.
Milwaukee is now 43-36 and will host the Pirates again toniight. Pre-game show at 6:05 on WSAU.
