GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – One of the Packers’ top undrafted free agent signees’ future with the franchise appears uncertain after he was unable to join the team’s 2025 draft class for minicamp due to injury concerns.
According to The News-Item, former Ohio State and Penn State wide receiver Julian Fleming was not on the field during this past weekend’s rookie minicamp due to a failed physical that involved his struggles with hip and back injuries.
Fleming caught 78 passes in all during his four-year collegiate career after he was ranked as the top overall high school recruit in the 2019 class. In 2022, he caught 34 passes for 533 yards and six touchdowns for the Buckeyes. For his final season in 2024, he transferred to Penn State, catching 26 passes for 270 yards and zero touchdowns.
First-round pick out of Texas, Matthew Golden, third-round pick out of TCU, Savion Williams, and tryout players Jack Studer of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Jaden Smith of Nevada, and Ali Jennings of Virginia Tech were among the five receivers who attended rookie camp.
