WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – Local trails will be closed until further notice due to the exceptionally wet conditions brought on by the recent rain and late snowfall, according to a statement from the Wausau and Marathon County Parks & Recreation and Forestry Departments.
Trails like Sylvan Hill mountain bike trails and the Nine Mile County Forest mountain bike and horse trails usually open on May 1st, but they will be closed until they can dry up.
Burma Forest ATV/UTV routes, Kronenwetter and Leather Camp County Forest horse trails, Big Eau Pleine County Park mountain bike and horse trails, and the Big Eau Pleine County disc golf course will also remain closed.
