PHILADELPHIA, PA (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Phillies are just two wins away from advancing to the World Series.
The Phils doubled up the Padres 4-2 in Game Three of the National League Championship Series in Philadelphia. Kyle Schwarber homered to lead off the first inning, while Jean Segura hit a two-run single in the fourth for the Phillies, who now lead the best-of-seven set two-games-to-one.
Game Four is Saturday. The Phillies are trying to reach the Fall Classic for the first time since back-to-back World Series trips in 2008-09.
