DENVER, COL (WSAU) — The Colorado Rockies rolled over the Milwaukee Brewers 8-4 on Wednesday afternoon at Coors Field.
Colorado jumped out to a 7-0 lead after three innings. The Brewers rallied with three runs late but couldnt catch up.
Kyle Freeland went six innings for the Rockies giving up one run on two hits with eight Ks. Eric Lauer only lasted 2.2 innings giving up seven runs before leaving the game with a dead arm.
Andrew McCutchen and Luis Urias had home runs for the Brewers.
Milwaukee is now 71-65 and 3 1/2 games behind Philadelphia and San Diego in the wildcard chase. They host San Francisco in a makeup doubleheader today at American Family Field…pre game show at 2:35 on WSAU.
