The Pointers earned the WIAC automatic bid by winning the WIAC Tournament last weekend, the 12th in school history. UWSP’s opening game opponent, Lawrence (26-11), claimed the automatic bid from the Midwest Conference. North Central (33-12) was an at-large selection after reaching the CCIW finals. Coe (21-19) won the American Rivers Conference Tournament.
The team that wins the regional will advance to next weekend’s Super Regional round against another regional winner at a to-be-determined site.
