WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Black Ash Urban Goods in Wausau has temporarily closed its doors for the third time.
The retail store has resided in Wausau for five years and has been closed for over a month. Store owner Ashley Mantor said this is a new issue she is dealing with, only becoming a problem post-pandemic.
“It makes it really hard when Walmart and these bigger companies offer such a high wage and as a small business owner we can only do so much,” Mantor said. “So definitely after the pandemic that’s were, we saw it just been a challenge ever since.”
While the doors to Black Ash Urban Goods are closed right now, Mantor said she is dedicated to getting the store back and running.
