WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The Feeding Our Communities with United Services (FOCUS) food pantry opens at its new location Monday.
FOCUS encompasses three groups: the South Wood Emerging Pantry Shelf (SWEPS), The Neighborhood Table, and Rapids Family Backpacks.
They will eventually all be under one roof at their new location at 2321 West Grand Avenue in Wisconsin Rapids.
Dale Davis, operations manager at the FOCUS Food Pantry, said he’s excited about the move. “Oh it’s been wonderful. The greatest part I’ve seen throughout this process is our clientele are more excited for us than they are for themselves. That has been such an amazing thing to see…,” said Davis. “You can tell that we have a real great group of clientele and that the volunteers who put the effort into serving them have just done a great job of treating them with the kindness and respect they deserve and they just reflect that right back.”
