RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — The man suspected of killing Hannah Miller of Rhinelander this summer is now back in the Badger state.
Christopher Terrell Anderson was extradited from Illinois to Onida County on Wednesday where a judge ordered him held on a $1 million bond for one count of first-degree intentional homicide.
Investigators say Anderson killed Miller, the mother of his child, and left her body along the side of a road just outside Rhinelander. He then went into hiding, sparking a months-long manhunt that involved local officials from multiple states along with the FBI and US Marshals. Vehicles associated with him were found in the Twin Cities in July, but it wasn’t until late August that he was arrested in suburban Chicago.
Officials from Wisconsin and Illinois worked for weeks to get Anderson extradited to Oneida County. He was scheduled to have a hearing next week but waived that and was transported on Wednesday.
Court records show he does not have an attorney yet. His next appearance is set for November 2nd in Oneida County.
Judge Michael Bloom is currently assigned to the case.
